Success Factors Analysis

Nimble Storage is a critical tool that provides data backup tools to variety of businesses. The products distributed are of great importance to countries that aim to improve revenue and maximize on the advancing technological tools. It is important to apply Hofstede’s dimensions when analyzing the influence of culture on the expansion of Nimble Storage products to India, France, Japan, Brazil, the United States, China and the Middle East countries. The proposal to transition from ethnocentric to geocentric approach is critical to determine viability of business operations in foreign countries. While focusing on cultural analysis of the countries, it is clear that they have positive cultural preferences that do not limit growth of technology. In terms of power distance, majority of the countries are ranked high except Europe and that is low. This means Nimble Storage’s expansion is prone to conforming to the governing power’s regulations.

In terms of uncertainty avoidance, Nimble Storage must select business strategies that suit the proposed country of operation. In terms of individualism, Nimble Storage is tailored to provide users with variety of functionality, as such, it has high likely hood of succeeding in all the countries. In terms of masculinity and femininity of the countries, the countries have varying opinion on gender roles but most of them are adopting the critical contribution of feminine perspective on business operations. Overall, it is clear that the operations of Nimble Storage have a high likelihood of prosperity since the products are diverse and offer varying functionalities.

Assessment of Influence of Political Trends

Analysis of the influence of political factors on proposed expansion for Nimble Storage reveals that each country has its political policies that govern business operations. The diverse functionality provided by Nimble Storage products is a great boost for its adoption by countries such as India, France, Japan, Brazil, the United States, China and the Middle East countries. There are many businesses operating in the countries mentioned which could maximize on the capabilities provided by Nimble Storage. This is promoted by the fact that all countries in focus are influenced by political factors. The political factors reveal that all of the countries aim to promote business growth by adopting high performing tools. The fact that Nimble storage offers cloud storage ("HPE Nimble Storage Products and Solutions", 2020) is a success factor especially for countries that have been prone to land degradation and inadequate and expensive business locations.

Nimble Storage has a high likelihood of its products getting purchased since most of the countries are applying technology in many business operations such as accounting, communication, and automation. However, political influence on the pricing of products may impact negatively on the operations of Nimble Storage. Many countries are conforming to international standards so that their GDP does not suffer when their business operations remain traditional. Moreover, all of the countries analyzed have begun adopting eco-friendly practices to reduce waste management and environmental pollution. Regardless, political influence on introduction of foreign businesses is detrimental to the operations of Nimble Storage.

Recommendations

The PESTEL analysis and Hofstede’s dimensions reveal that Nimble Storage has high potential of gaining market share in the selected countries. The negative impact of political and cultural factors can easily get eradicated by the indispensable adoption of Nimble Storage tools. Even though the products proposed are affordable and offer beneficial tools such as the cloud storage, it is mandatory to eradicate the risk factor of political influence. The fact that politicians influence the price of products by mandating foreign tariffs can be detrimental to the adoption of the new products in the proposed expansion. To ensure increasing market share, Nimble Storage management must acquire a diverse management team to improve relations with the proposed countries. This would deal with any negative impact of culture on business operations.
