Stage 4 Teaching and Learning Program

A teaching and learning program is a major planning document and forms the bridge between the curriculum and the lesson plans. A learning program provides the basis for a cohesive and integrated learning process by outlining the processes of learning and assessment. In this assessment task you are required to create a stage 4, ten week teaching and learning program for Year 7-8 in Australia. Include the following:

i. A title page that includes the stage and year, the syllabus name, the program topic, the term is it to be taught, its duration and a weekly registration table that shows the date taught and teacher signature.

ii. A design Brief iii. A Program Rationale that links the program to the syllabus rationale and justifies

its use. Outline why this topic is being taught and how the topic may be informed relevant curriculum, philosophical and theological perspectives.

iv. A unit weekly synopsis that outlines the weekly activity and outcome being taught

v. A list of outcomes to be taught and assessed in numbers and words. All assessable outcomes and their linked syllabus content must be taught.
