· Addresses issues relevant to the topic but with variable levels of detail and complexity.

· Includes mostly relevant information from written sources with more or less appropriate referencing of sources in the text.

40-49

· Addresses some issues relevant to the topic.

· Includes some relevant information from written sources. All sources identified, though style of referencing inconsistent.

D – FAIL

30-39

· Much of the material does not address issues relevant to the topic.

· Does not include information from written sources. Some sources not referenced in any way.

· The material does not address the topic.

· Clear and appropriate written English, demonstrating the ability to express complex ideas with precision.

· A mostly logical structure with clear paragraphs and overall argument.

· Clear written English with occasional minor lapses which do not impede the expression of general and some more complex ideas.

C

· Evidence of a logical structure with mostly clear paragraphs and an identifiable argument.

· Mostly clear written English. Occasional imprecise and/or inaccurate use of language may lead to ambiguities or lack of precision.
