There’s A Place for Us – Co-creating learning experiences with marginalised youth through process drama

HEI Inter-Professional module (HIP) was co-created by marginalized youth, educators, social care practitioners and students in third level colleges, 2013-2016 and funded under the Lifelong Learning Programme, ACTION ERASMUS MULTILATERAL PROJECTS.

The project was developed in collaboration between 5 universities and universities of applied sciences (HEIs) from five different countries and 4 local practitioners from each country, with expertise in working with marginalized youth in practice.

As part of this project and in collaboration with colleagues at ITSligo, Caroline Costello and Tamsin Cavaliero; Lecturer and Drama Practitioner, Kate Brown worked with young people from a Traveller family in Sligo, supporting them through drama based practice, to share their stories and teach social care practice students about the issues that affect their lives.
