Assessment task 2 ePortfolio 2

Submit before: 11:59PM Friday 19/10/18 (week 11)

Length and/or format: An ePortfolio containing an Access database, 3 selected

Discussion Forum (DF) posts, and a 700 word Recommendation

Report on the technologies covered in weeks 6 to 11 that you think

may help the business in a given case study. Include in your report:

• An executive summary (50 words)

• 3-4 recommendations (600 words). For each

recommendation include: o A description about it

o A discussion why it is chosen for this particular business

(taking into account the specific characteristics of this business)

o A discussion of a limitation or implementation challenge

of this technology for the business

• Conclusion (50 words)

• References

This task requires you to critically apply your knowledge and understanding in information systems, particularly on social computing, e-commerce, mobile commerce and wireless computing, and any information systems covered in Rainer Chapter 11. In addition you are also required to demonstrate your practical database skills .

The Report must demonstrate how you have actively engaged in the unit materials and online discussion forums, for example how you have drawn ideas from these forums and the unit materials to understand the concepts you have learnt in weeks 6 to 11 of the semester. It should make references to your DF posts and possibly other relevant DF posts from peers, the textbook and/or other unit materials.

Your ePortfolio 2 must be kept electronically on Mahara / LEOPortfolio and made accessible to the marker ONLY via a secret link. It may be appended to ePortfolio 1 but must be distinct from ePortfolio 1. See more information on LEO.

Purpose: To demonstrate the fundamental knowledge and understandings

of information systems, social computing, e-commerce and mobile

commerce; and practical skills on database.
