Introduction
The current report is about JKL Industries. The key business of JKL industries involves selling of small trucks, spare parts and forklifts. The head office of the company is located in Sydney. Other branches of the company are located in Melbourne, Perth, Canberra, Brisbane and Adelaide. Currently, JKL Industries has received a proposal for sales rights to a set of medium and large sized trucks from a supplier across the sea. It is expected that if the company approves this proposal, it will present many challenges. JKL Industries will have to modify the recent organizational structure to resolve the expected issues successfully.

A. Information Gathering
Information collected from a comprehensive evaluation of business documentation, dialogue with the stakeholders and an analysis of outside corporate environment reveals significant human resources needs. These needs are listed as under.
· The employees of JKL Industries require a conflict resolution training that can develop their conflict resolution skills and make them ready for facing the problems courageously. Moreover, this training will train them for successful and secure resolution of the disputes.
· It is necessary to conduct performance appraisals in the organization to rebuke the employees who are not performing well in connection with the company’s policies and to eliminate the probability of discrimination and unjust discharge.
· There is a need to work in collaboration with the concerned departments regarding establishment of employee incentives and rewards.
· There is a need for organizational alignment for improving the overall performance of employees and decreasing the rate of employee turnover.
· There is a need for implementation of an effectual communication strategy to increase employees’ morale and performance. A successful communication strategy aids in achieving organizational goals because employees understand their aims well and feel dedicated.
B. Options To Fulfill Human Resources Needs
The two alternatives that can be pursued to fulfill the needs of human resources in JKL Industries and their associated risks are discussed below.
The first alternative that JKL Industries should pursue to meet the requirements of human resources is the restructuring of human resource. This restructuring can involve installation of human resource management software. This software assists in carrying out all duties of human resource starting with recruitment and employing. Other duties performed by the software include performance appraisals, management of employee benefits, training and professional growth, talent management, financial planning and invoice management, and scheduling shifts and managing attendance. The risks associated with the installation of human resource management software include high cost of implementation and upgrading of software, and damage caused by the hackers to the organization by gaining an access to confidential business information. The loss of information can result in lowering of business confidence of JKL Industries.
The second alternative which JKL Industries should go after to fulfill the human resource needs is increasing corporate partnering at all levels in JKL Industries. The corporate partnering can be developed by engaging the top management in execution of human resource strategies. These strategies should focus on reinforcing human resource services in relation to management of productive capacity. The risks involved in this option are that the management may not possess the characteristic of delegation.
