Exercise: The Effects of CO2 on Breathing Holding

Reports that students will submit:

1. A scientific table, including

a. Original data obtained from the “Respiratory System Physiology Breathing Holding Lab” ----Breathing rate and Breath-holding duration in three conditions:

1) Normal breathing

2) After breathing into a paper bag

3)After hyperventilation

b. Calculation of percentage increase or decrease of breathing-holding duration after paper bag and hyperventilation against data in normal breathing.

2. A written discussion (one page, typed in Microsoft Word) ----analyze the results and addressing questions such as:

· In which situation were you able to hold breath the least amount of time, why?

· In which situation were you able to hold breaththe longest amount of time, why?

3. At least one properly formatted reference.

Note:

1. Student name, Student ID, Class Section need to be included in the report.
