Final Self-Assessment
For this final assignment you will write a self-assessment that reflects on your growth as a writer, student, and individual this semester. Although this can be in the form of a typed letter to me, you should put into practice what you have learned this semester by producing an articulate, organized, polished, and descriptive piece of writing that demonstrates this growth.
Your letter should include answers to and discussions about the following:
1. What did you learn about yourself as a writer and student this semester? Please be honest, specific, and thorough.
2. What were some of the challenges you faced with regard to the informal and major writing assignments?
3. Did you find the order in which we did the assignments to be beneficial to you? Please explain in detail as I do make changes based on your honest feedback.
4. Pick one assignment that you do not think was valuable (not just one that you didn’t like). Are there ways to improve the assignment or would you delete it from the syllabus altogether? Please explain in detail so that I can continue to improve the work students are asked to do.
Please make sure your letter is:
· Approximately 500 words
· Formatted to meet course requirements
· Double-spaced
· 1” margins all around
· 12-point Times New Roman font
· Include appropriate header
Thank you so much for your honesty, time, and talents! It’s been such a pleasure working with each one of you.
