Topic sentence: As students continue to evolve due to a number of issues, the higher education sector in the US has been facing huge challenges. Major Support 1: There has been a decrease in new student enrollment in universities and colleges (CCAP, 2017). Minor Support: Image problem in a way that universities are associated with bias to specific cohorts of society. Major Support 2: Student debt Minor Support: the huge level of debt and rising tuition fees is discouraging people from universities. Major Support 3: Decreased state funding Minor Support: Maximized inequality since tuition fee was increased and some could not afford it (Wiley, 2020). Concluding sentence: There are a number of critical challenges affecting universities. In order to enhance the experience in the universities these issues should be addressed. |
