It is a management method in which leaders assist in the formation of strategic goals for the organization while inspiring employees.

• Leadership skills:

A leader must possess the qualities and abilities to be successful at inspiring, convincing, and guiding people to believe in the vision and mission.

Leadership is the art of persuading others to follow one's example. This is accomplished not by the use of authority, power, or regulation, but rather through the development of leadership abilities.

SKILLS OF AN EFFECTIVE LEADER

- Influential leaders can improve company retention and profitability with highly-engaged employees, who are likely to perceive their leaders as effective. A leader's core skills and qualities to positively impact the organization include integrity, good communication, and relationship building.

-Traits of ineffective leaders that negatively impact productivity and performance of employees include a lack of a clear vision and management skills to manage the organization.

Effective leaders ensure that their teams goals correspond with the company's goals thus goal achievement.

- Reasons why leaders need to have good qualities-The key component is communication and feedback - Influential leaders are self-assured in their ability to manage organizational change. During the change process, they are willing to assist their employees in understanding why and how the change is taking place.

TYPES OF LEADERSHIP STYLES

- The most common leadership style in the organization is eight. Some are effective, whereas others are less effective in managing and leading the organization. For instance, Laissez-faire leadership is less intrusive and empowers employees by trusting them to work on their own without supervision. On the other hand, autocratic leadership style, the leader makes decisions without consulting anyone, employees are neither considered nor consulted, and they are expected to follow the lead at the time and pace set by the authority.

Democratic leaders involves employees in exercising authority.

Transformational leadership transform and motivates employees.

Laissez-faire leadership is less intrusive and employees work on their own.

Autocratic style, the leader makes decisions without consulting.

Strategic leadership supports employees to achieve the goals.

Transactional leaders reward or punish their employees based on employee output.

Coach leadership focus on identifying and nurturing the individual strengths.

Bureaucratic leadership tends to follow company policy or past practices.

- The major leadership styles are transformational and democratic, which are considered most effective for maximum productivity and performance.

Due to the dynamic change, relative change, and diversity changes in the workplace environment of organizations, leaders are faced with challenges that require them to exhibit a higher degree of expertise in leading and managing organizations.
