Article Review #2 – Incentive Systems

Directions:

1) Read the article titled “Kerr (1995) – Incentive Systems”.

2) Summarize the article, and provide your perspective. Specifically, a) Highlight the main points. b) Identify a situation in your life (or in the life of someone you personally know) in which

incentives have been used inadequately and/or counterproductively as describe in the article. Within the context you have identified, propose a plan that will encourage desired behavior and explain how your plan will be monitored for effectiveness.

Submission Requirements: Submit an electronic copy in Word or pdf form via Canvas on or before the deadline, ensuring the following requirements are met:

• Use 12-point, Times New Roman (TNR) font. Ensure you check any headers and footers since the default in Word is not TNR.

• Margins are to be one-inch on all four sides. • Double-space all text. • There is no need for a title page. Type your name, the assignment, date, then respond. • Excluding your name and headings, the text of your response should be between 1,000

and 1,250 words.

Submissions that do not precisely follow the requirements as stated above will not be graded, thereby earning an irreplaceable score of “zero”. I recommend you use the “Submission Requirements” as a literal checklist before your submit your work.
