Computer Ethics Oral Presentation Instructions

You are to present an ethics topic orally to the class. Submit three possible topics at our next class. You will then be assigned a topic so that we do not have duplication.

Oral Presentation must be new material and different from your Research Paper. (Presentations similar to Research Paper will result in a 50% grade reduction.)

The presentation will be a minimum of 5 minutes in length. Not to exceed 10 minutes. Prepare a related question to ask the class at the conclusion of your presentation.

You may OR may not use PowerPoint, handouts, graphs, illustrations, maps, models, object, Web sites, and/or video clips. If using a video clip, it cannot be longer than 3 minutes in length. There will not be any points given or deducted for any exterior aids.

You may use note cards OR you can have it typed out and read it to the class as long as it is a minimum of 5 minutes in length.

When called upon to do your Oral Presentation, you will submit your Works Cited page only.

  • A minimum of 6 resources – websites, magazines, journals, books, or newspapers, etc

  • Resources no older than 3 years. Do NOT use the same web site for multiple resources.

  • For Works Cited, use 12-point font; one-inch margins.

  • Follow the MLA or APA formatting and style guide for citing Resources.

  • At the top of the Works Cited page include

    • Name

    • Class & section (CPT105-XX)

    • Topic of Presentation (do not make me guess)
