REQUIREMENTS: Each gallery must include a minimum of 4 artworks (or a strong explanation for less – only 1 exception allowed). There will be a total of at least 24 artworks in your museum. The entire museum should include work by a minimum of 3 artists.
Each member will be responsible for a one-page explanation of what you did, what your reasons were (your thought process), and how you feel each member of the group upheld their responsibilities.
You, the Art Curator Project, Roles:
Each group member will choose a specific job.
Head Curator: Creates the concept for the exhibition (in agreement with the other group members). Selects the artwork (in agreement with the other group members). Writes the overall statement for the show, and edits the individual gallery statements.

Assistant Curator: Types labels, fact checks, gathers research, suggests works to include in the exhibition. Also draft short statements to include with each gallery, explaining why those artworks belong together. Your group can have one, or two, Assista nt Curators.

Preparator: Discusses the display of the artworks in the PowerPoint with the curators. Builds the PowerPoint for class submission, in cooperation with the curators. Your group can use the PowerPoint template provided, and place your artworks “on the wall” or you may display them differently in the PowerPoint. It is essential that there is a clear grouping of artworks “in a gallery” together, however.

Education Director: Develops programming around the concept of the show. Based on the topics in your museum, find and research one appropriate “guest speaker”. This speaker could be an artist, curator, or other professional with knowledge about some issue related to your museum exhibition. You must write a biography for the speaker, create a “summary” of what they would talk about, and produce 5 questions (with answers), all of which needs to be included at the end of your museum exhibition (PowerPoint).
