Do NOT read about it on Wikipedia – choose one of the pieces in this slideshow and use the INSTRUCTIONS POSTED to complete the paper

There are multiple paintings and sculptures to choose from

Choose only ONE piece of art (not one of each type – just one piece)

HINT: CHOOSE ONE YOU LIKE LOOKING AT SO THAT YOU CAN TALK ABOUT IT IN MORE DETAIL

DO NOT RESEARCH THE PIECE AT ALL

THINGS YOU MAY RESEARCH (if available)

Gender of artist (so that you may refer to them correctly in the paper)

Country of the artist

When the artist lived (then you can use the textbook to expand on style/genre)

Materials used by the artist

Pictures of the piece from other angles (especially useful for sculpture)

EVERYTHING else must come from using the textbook to analyze what you see and from your own response to the piece
