• We will spend a lot of time composing scholarly writing in the course. However, we need to make different rhetorical choices when composing for the public audience. For this project, our goal is to translate our analytical research project for a more public audience.

• There are many elements to consider in translating your work, but primarily you will want to: 1. condense your information, 2. make your tone and language more accessible (word choice! humor!), 3. use images or sound in addition to text

• There are a number of options for completing this assignment. You could use Explain Everything, Prezi, Adobe Spark, PowerPoint, KeyNote, YouTube, a Podcast, etc.

• Your presentation will be graded on: o Translation of information o Effective use of visual or aural rhetoric o Polished, error-free work o Creativity o Clarity

• You will also be graded on your participation in the discussion boards. Each student will be assigned a number of discussion responses, and with that assignment will be an outline of expectations.
