Argument Essay

explore any part of identity that you will write an argument essay that persuades your reader to agree with your position using ethos, pathos, and logos. There must be a counter argument in your essay and also you must refute the counter argument.

Writing Instructions

-In the opening paragraph, tell the reader what the problem is and what your opinion/thesis is.

-Use the body of the essay to support your thesis, using research sources that agree with your opinion and ideas.

-Be sure to point out at least one counterargument and refute that counterargument with your own research. You must defend yourself with good answers for responding your counterargument.

-Conclude by answering a question such as “so what?” “what now?” “where do we go from here?” or “what else must we consider in connection with this problem?”

Writing Requirements

-This paper should be 7 double spaced pages in length.

-This paper should have a minimum of six sources. At least four of them should be academic sources. The other two sources should NOT be CRAAP. These sources should be accessible for everyone not buy a book option or special membership sources.

-Use correct MLA in-text citations and create a works cited list.

-Use Times New Roman font, size 12, 1-inch margins, double spaced.

-Use the correct MLA heading for papers, including page numbers

-Focus on using correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
