· You start the assignment by opening this file and saving it with the name listed in one of the first steps.

1. Insert text from Microsoft Word.

· Open PPT 3-5.pptx from the location where you store your Data Files, then save it as PPT 3-Tsar Tour. You will work to create the completed presentation as shown in  Figure 3-18 .

· Click Slide 2 in the Slides tab, then use the Slides from Outline command to insert the file PPT 3-6.docx from the location where you store your Data Files.

· In the Slides tab, drag Slide 7 above Slide 6 then delete Slide 9, “Budapest, Hungary”.

· Select Slides 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 in the Slides tab, reset the slides to the default theme settings, then save your work.

2. Insert and style a picture.

· Select Slide 2 in the Slides tab, then insert the picture PPT 3-7.jpg from the location where you store your Data Files.

· Crop the right side of the picture up to the building, then increase the size of the picture so it is 5" wide.

· Drag the picture to the right so it is in the center of the blank area of the slide.

· Click the Color button, change the color tone to Temperature: 11200 K, then save your changes.

3. Insert a text box.

· On Slide 2, insert a text box below the picture.

· Type Catherine palace.

· Select the text object, then click the More button in the Shape Styles group on the Drawing Tools Format tab.

· Click Moderate Effect – Orange, Accent 5, then fit the text box to the text by dragging its sizing handles.

· Center the text object under the picture using Smart Guides.

· In the main text object, type the word on before the word Volga, then move the word cruise before the word on.

4. Insert a chart.

· Create a new slide after Slide 8 with a Title Only layout and title it Sales by Quarter.

· On the Insert tab, click the Chart button in the Illustrations group, click Pie in the left column, then insert a Pie chart.

· Close the worksheet, drag the top-middle sizing handle of the chart down under the slide title, then apply the Layout 1 quick layout to the chart.

5. Enter and edit chart data.

· Show the worksheet, enter the data shown in  Table 3-2  into the worksheet, then close the worksheet.

· Type Tsar River Tour Sales in the chart title text object.

· Click the Chart Styles button next to the chart, then change the chart style to Style 12.

· Click Color in the Charts Styles gallery, then change the color to Color 3 in the Colorful section.

· Close the Charts Styles gallery, then save your changes.

6. Insert slides from other presentations.

· Go to Slide 8, then open the Reuse Slides pane.

· Open PPT 3-8.pptx from the location where you store your Data Files.

· Insert the fourth slide thumbnail, insert the second slide thumbnail, and then insert the third slide thumbnail.

· Close the Reuse Slides pane, then save your work.

7. Insert a table.

· Add a new slide after Slide 11 with the Title and Content layout.

· Add the slide title Stateroom Special Features.

· Insert a table with three columns and four rows.

· Enter the information shown in  Table 3-3 , then change the table style to Light Style 2 – Accent 2.

· In the Table Tools Layout tab, center the text in the top row.

· Open the Table Tools Design tab, click the Effects button, point to Cell Bevel, then apply the Convex effect.

· Move the table to the center of the blank area of the slide, then save your changes.

8. Insert and format WordArt.

· Go to Slide 5, then, insert a WordArt text object using the style Fill – Yellow, Accent 3, Sharp Bevel.

· Type A Golden Ring City, apply the Triangle Down Transform text effect (first row in the Warp section) to the text object, then move the text object to the middle of the blank area of the slide.

· View the presentation in Slide Show view, add your name as a footer to all the slides, then save your changes.

· Submit your presentation to your instructor, close your presentation, and exit PowerPoint.
