Re: Appointment of new Project Manager

As of May 7, 2018, I am appointing you as the Project Manager for the Wellness Project. With the departure of John Current, former Project Manager, the project team needs a project manager that can refocus all efforts toward project completion by July 1, 2018.

As the new project manager, you need to read all documentation provided in Module 1 about the status of the project. In the next 9 weeks, I expect you to have developed a new project schedule and strategies to recover loss time and costs at the end of the nine weeks. In addition to the documentation already provided, I am including mandatory templates for you to use throughout your project redesign. These templates are in the form of business memos to the senior staff.

You will find the case study project in complete disarray. This is a worst-case scenario. It will be your responsibility to develop a new project plan based on the original project. Remember, your reports are to senior management and should be structured as such. They should contain information for the senior staff to make appropriate decisions. All plans need to contain actionable items, which means the plan should provide what you and your team will do at each point within the new project plan.

If you have any questions about the project, you need to use the General Questions forum. I will provide additional information as you request it. I am the liaison between you and the rest of the staff and team. I have provided some initial supplemental information that you will need to use.
