According to the article, the main issue under investigation is the effects of online and offline therapeutic technique. The application of the internet in psychoanalysis is becoming increasingly important when it comes to therapy session.
However, the effects of online therapy is quite different from the traditional form of therapy.
One of the approaches of online therapeutic technique is based on video conferencing. That is, video conferencing is cited as main forms of internet communication technique for facilitating therapy.

However, the author does not support the use of the internet over the traditional method.

The process of psychodynamic psychotherapy has been improved by new communication methods such as internet (Migone, 2013).
Through internet, psychologist can offer help to patients in any time as long as there is internet connection and in any region of the world and at any time of the day.
The use of internet is effective because it not only reduces the cost, but also ensures convenience as it does not involve traveling. I will therefore, employ internet communication in practice with my client (van et al. 2014).
Finding and Outcomes
Using online therapy offers perspectives to improve patient self-management of therapy, while still providing the support patients need. Through internet, it is possible to provide flexibility to tailor treatment to individual patients.

The biggest limitation of using internet in therapeutic process is based on the limitation of coverage. There are regions that are not covered by internet and therefore, patients in these are cannot be part of using the technique.
The other limitation is also based on literacy. Not everyone knows how to use internet an to use the method, training may be needed. This leads to waste of time.
