I am Appealing for my Community Scholars scholarship so I will need a very convincing personal statement. The main reason is due to my cumulative GPA which is 2.64 instead of 2.75 being the minimum required GPA. My grade dropped because of F in Spanish. It was extremely fast paced,and hard for plus I have a learning barrier when it comes to languages. Back in grade school I always put in a program for dyslexia because of my insufficient learning capabilities. I'll be retaking that Spanish course next spring semester in a very persevering way because it is needed for my major. To make sure I pass this time I will go inactive in some of my organizations and take tutoring. Plus meeting with my professor at least once a week.

PERSONAL STATEMENTS should include the following:

a. What requirements did you not meet? b. Why you didn’t meet the requirement(s). c. What will you do differently to ensure that you meet ALL scholarship requirements if the scholarship is renewed? d. You will need to request to have your scholarship renewed. DO NOT assume you will be granted the scholarship just because you appeal. e. Any additional information or letters of support that you deem important and want to be considered in the appeal decision.
