Appeal letter URGENT
Circumstances led me to have bad GBA 1.1:
Before the beginning of Spring semester I received call from back home that my father passed away
I couldn’t back home of traveling band. While the semester started I attend my classes but my performance was bad and my brain wasn’t stable to do my assignment.
This is the email I have received from school:
Based on review of your academic performance this semester, I am writing to inform you that you have been placed on Academic Suspension for earning a semester GPA below 1.3. As a student on Academic Suspension, you may not return to the University for at least one full semester. Your current registration will be canceled. Please refer to the Academic Standards section of the Lasell University Catalog for more information.
In order to return to Lasell University:
You may apply for readmission through the Registrar's Office during or following the semester/year in which you are away from Lasell. Your application must include specific reference to the reasons for your suspension, an account of what you have done while away from the University, and an explanation of how your circumstances have and will continue to improve. At Lasell University, we believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and we are committed to supporting your efforts to succeed academically.
If there are extenuating circumstances that warrant reconsideration of your Suspension, you may send a letter of appeal to Eric Turner, Provost, at [email protected].
