Auditory Processing Disorder Presentation (APD)

In a 8-10 minute(25-30 slides) presentation, provide a brief overview on auditory processing disorder. You should include the following in your presentation:

o Define Auditory Processing Disorder

o Provide a brief history of the disorder

o Explain how APD is diagnosed

o Discuss treatment for APD

o Explain the controversy regarding the diagnosis of APD in school-aged children (some scholars and school districts do not believe it should be recognized as a diagnosis in school-aged children). The articles below are a great resource if you need some direction to get started. During this portion, please site at least 2 articles (1 of these citations can be an article below) when discussing the diagnosis. At the end of your presentation, please share how you feel about the APD as a diagnosis. Points will not be deducted based on your opinion-be honest!

o Include pictures(preferably 3D images), videos and step by step descriptions of diagnosis and the instruments for treatments that are used.

PowerPoint presentation. Include citations at the end of your presentation. Please do not exceed the 10 minute mark.
