Title of Paper (Title Case) – not bold Comment by DoD_Admin: Review all notes to assist in writing your paper.
Begin writing your introduction for this paper, you begin at the left margin (Ctrl + L) and use the Tab key on the keyboard to indent the paragraphs in Word. The introduction paragraph is around one paragraph (around 5-7 sentences). One does not need to always add sources inside the introduction paragraph. The last sentence of the introduction will be your thesis statement. This is your opinion or position on the topic of your essay (THESIS). Comment by DoD_Admin: Your Thesis statement goes here.
The first paragraph (introduction) should present the thesis in the last sentence and predicts the supporting topics.
What is a Thesis Statement,
1.It tells the reader how you will interpret the significance of the subject matter under discussion.
2. It tells the reader what to expect from the rest of the paper.
3. Does it make a claim that others might dispute? Have you taken a position that others might challenge or oppose? Try to make your thesis stronger.
You should have at least three supporting topics to support your thesis and they should be in the body of your paper. Also written in the same order.
