· Students are to review all 3 films: The Epidemic, A Class Divide, & Home Economics. After reviewing the films and personal notes from lecture, students are to find one topic from one of the films and research that topic.
Example: After watching Home Economics, I see a topic that interests me: Single Mothers working outside the Home.
Research question: How Single Mothers working outside the Home
affects the American Dream.
· Students should do a pre-writing exercise and jot down all that they know about their topic. Why did you choose this topic (Logos). What relatability or compassion do you have towards this topic? (Pathos). Finally, the last gap of their knowledge that you would want to fill in is what you would need to know about your chosen topic (Ethos).
