The authors of the article discuss the issue of big data analytics that is a concept that currently most organizations consider implementing to improve their performance. Companies leverage the big data analytics because data is considered a valuable resource and most organization protect and store it mostly in online databases for issues of safety. Data is subjected into analysis to receive required information that is used for decisions making. Information governance makes it possible to conduct the data analytics process. The article brings out clearly that the information management and analytics is important in an organization because it allows extraction of value from the big data that promote operations like supply chain among others.

The aspect of editorial scene is considered relevant in the process of big data application hat is currently applied in governance and policy. Currently, there exist a disconnect between today’s literature concerning the application of big data and the utilization of the processes of policy making process and this affects the future plans concerning the issue of information governance. The challenge that emerges in the process of protecting the data in form of data analytics and the online formats adopted is the fact that national and local government consider big data and the issue of governance as different context that poses a challenge in the management of information especially in this period where people have opted for online storage and they receive a lot of cyber threats. The issue of big data application cannot help in the process of eliminating existing political aspects and structural limitations present in government.

The public sector is increasingly ready to transform intentional warehouse information where they consider it as an important resource. The information governance is an important process that makes sure that the information in the public sector is safe from exposure. The issue of adopting advanced information skills is now a priority in the public sector. The processes of information governance are considered a critical approach that is among the talented organizational past and future acts that would be relied upon in the future. The new forces that are experienced are considered the delinquencies. There is need to push for new possibilities in information governance through the application of technology that are then leveraged to help in the transformation of the government and other institutions.

In the accounting profession big data has become an important aspect and it has experienced increased application where many companies have adopted. There are emerging challenges concerning the information governance discipline that most countries globally experience. There is a limited information and awareness about the aspect of information governance that makes organization fail to differentiate between privacy, data privacy, information security and e-discovery.
