In the article, Clare Burns examines the process of the adaption of Harry Potter books to films, the changes made between the books and the films and if the adaptions are excellent representations of the books. She also covers matters such as fidelity in the Harry Potter adaptation.

One specific thing I will use in my research paper from this article is Clare’s examination of how the removal of some parts that are in the Harry Potter books affect the illustration in the films. For example, some missing stories about Sirius Black paint him as a villain instead of an innocent man who was betrayed.

I plan to use this source to show how and why some changes were adopted in the films different than how the books were written and whether these changes helped to create better illustrations of the Harry Potter books.

Since my research will focus on the differences between the Harry Potter novels and films and their impact on the quality of the adaptation, I will use this source to focus on specific examples of these differences and whether they were good or bad for the film representation of the Harry Potter novels.
