The article talks about how drug interactions that might need to happen during dental treatment, should be consulted first with their cardiologist to ok the use of. Making aware of what medications a patient is taking can reduce the mild to potentially fatal drug interactions that a drug may be used during treatment. Dental professionals have the duty to be the first line of defense when it comes to spotting a patient with suspected cardiovascular issues and should pay close attention to any adverse reactions caused by dental treatment drugs. Overall, as dental health professionals, it is just as important to be fully aware of the person as a whole and not just their oral health.
