An annotated bibliography is a list of citations followed by a brief descriptive and evaluative paragraph to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited. You will write all 3 bibliographies on one document.

Identify 2 body systems affected by the chosen health issue.
Using the School Library find three (3) current* peer review articles addressing the specific health issue chosen and how this health issue affects your chosen body systems affected.
Select articles with enough information to work with as well as write about in a summary. An article that is one to two paragraphs long is probably not going to be lengthy enough. *articles must be written within the last 5 years.
Create an annotated bibliography for each article (see example below)
Use the “Who, What, When, Where, Why and How” (5Ws & H) method for each annotation. This method helps you identify key details of the articles. In other words, it is the connection between the main idea and the various elements of the article(s).
Pick 2 medical terms per article. As you review each article prepare a list of medical terms, specific to the health issue you are researching, found in the article.
For each term:
Identify the word type (noun, verb, adjective, etc.)
Separate the term in to its word parts and define each word part.
Provide the pronunciations of the medical term
Define the medical term.
Examples are provided below.
Please, note, you will use this information to create your audio public service announcement in the M7A1 assignment.
Example of Annotated Bibliography --
Citation: Romero, S. (2015, December 20). Alarm spreads in Brazil over a virus and a surge in malformed infants. The New York Times. Retrieved May 16, 2017.
Annotation: Although little was known about this virus until recently, today the world knows multiple health issues are associated with this virus. In Brazil alone thousands of babies have been born with microcephaly (my-kroh-sef-uh-lee) a rare and incurable condition. Microcephaly most often occurs when the brain fails to grow at the normal rate. Women of childbearing age were encouraged not to become pregnant as the possibility of being infected with the Zika virus increases during the rainy season when the Aedes Aegyptus mosquito, which carries the Zika virus, is more prevalent. At the time of this article, virologists were unclear of the extent of the threat to not only Brazil but the entire hemisphere. Today, we know that the Zika virus can have profound impact on the unborn child.
Medical Terms:

Viro = virus, logy = the study of, gist = individual/person
