Complete Sentence Outline and Annotated Bibliography
A complete sentence outline provides a complete and accurate list, written as complete sentences , of the points you want to address in your document. Sentence outlines typically serve two purposes:
1. They begin the process of converting an outline into a draft of your document.
2. They help you assess the structure of a document that you have already written in parts.
This outlines use Roman numerals and letters to indicate the hierarchy of information, ideas and arguments, and places where you want to engage with your sources . When you’ve created your outline, ask whether it can serve as a blueprint for the first draft of your document. Taking the time to create an effective and detailed outline now will reduce the time needed to write your first rough draft later.
Guidelines for Constructing a Complete Sentence Outline
Write in complete full sentences and create a formal outline to identify
· Your thesis statement
· Your reasons (topic sentences) for the argument
· The sequence in which those reasons should be presented
· Supports for your reasons
· Sources you should refer to as you work on your document (indicate which sources you intend to engage with and where)

--Limit the number of major sections in the outline; if the list of Roman numerals (at the first level) gets too long, try clustering the items into fewer major categories with more subcategories.
--Please be as detailed as possible.
--Please make sure that you write complete sentences in your outline.
--Please make sure to indicate both topic sentences and your supports for these topic sentences in each paragraph. Indicate what sources you intend to use to support your claims (you can simply add the titles of the sources)
2) Annotated Bibliography:
As you explore your topic and choose an issue, begin collecting sources from the library and internet. Read each source critically, evaluate it for its potential value for your project, and take notes. For this assignment, you will submit a list of 5 scholarly sources and annotations for your Annotated Bibliography assignment .
The Annotated Bibliography is an alphabetized list and includes publication information and a brief summary and evaluation of the source. Please also explain why and how you plan to use the sources for your final research project. This list should conform to the MLA documentation system.
