The purpose of this study was to identify how conflict, apologies, forgiveness affect the willingness to cooperate during conflicts.

Article Summary:

The research reports that forgiveness and willingness to cooperate positively impacts outcomes conflict resolution. Sincerity of apologies is also crucial mediating the link between forgiveness and inclination for cooperate.

Critique of Article:

This article does a great job in identifying the role of forgiveness, apologies and willingness to cooperate in solving workplace conflicts. Conflict resolution depends on attitudes of the parties involved.

Purpose of Article:

The purpose of this study was to assess the long-term effectiveness of the mediation of workplace conflicts in hierarchical settings by comparing and analyzing how enlisted participants perceived the effectiveness of both short-term and long-term mediation initiatives.

Article Summary:

The study established that supervisors and subordinates who take part in mediation consider the approach as effective in the long run. The effectiveness of meditation depends on effectiveness of reconciliation, impact of the meditation outcome and trust among the conflicting parties.

Critique of Article:

The article highlights key determinants of effectiveness of meditation as a strategy for conflict resolution. The findings were valid because they are based from non-biased primary research.
