Hollinger describes of the devil in manuscript in Young Goodman Brown. The narrator creates this story as a “hell-fired” in which the character maintains a distance to avoid the characters in the story mainly, the people who are evil. Whereas, explains how Brown observed the village as hypocrisy by extending their most respected member of New England. Hollinger provides details in a couple of sense in the story were Brown perspective of evil. She makes it clear that Brown becomes so shocked and disillusioned by his initiation into evil that he is unable to trust mankind.
Hollinger provided information regarding the perspective he had in mistrusting mankind. Which this happen when the devil tells him that he knew, as referring to Faith. Hollinger source does present some sense were Goodman Brown’s lack of the truth in religion. In the sense of her description describes how religion and philosophy have been the primary basis for a person’s efforts that guides them in their beliefs.

This source describes Tim O’Brien idea of people to have trust with the people he is with. Blyn lets the reader know how O’Brien attracts his audience with American soldiers in the Vietnam War. Explain a little how the story should be entitled to “The Lives of the Dead” because of the occurrence in The Things They Carried. Also, Blyn explains the idea of this story that attracts the reader with The Great and Modern Memory. Which the pre-war understanding by the deeper insights soldiers experienced in the war.
Blyn does explain how O’Brien has the idea of how to influence his reader with wars that happen during the wars that occurred. However, Blyn says the name should changed to “The Live of the Dead.” I believe the reason Blyn would change the name is because soldiers have a past and needed to heal their wounds not just physically but also mentally. This source may help a little not completely satisfy.

Kumar’s book review of The Things They Carried discusses the explanations of the soldiers who are affected physically and mentally. Kumar is a person who wants to go to the military in which chances his/her mind of joining the military after reading the novel. This shows how a person from reading this novel can change a person perspective of joining to the military. Kumar wants to make it clear that soldiers never forget the horrible things they witness as part of their lives, leading them to unforgettable memory. People who want to join the armed forces should think twice before considering joining in place that later regret.
Kumar explains how a person should decide before joining the military. Kumar stated that war is not a joke, were a person can imagine what the solider will experience and their families worry. Kumar demonstrates by reading The Things They Carried influenced a person’s perceptive of joining the arm forces. Soldiers carry lives of other soldier in their hands, which helps the reader understand and realize how a life of a soldier is. This helps readers consider joining the military because in the book they had no choice but today we do.
