Acknowledgement-

We had discussed the requirements of the project with manager Mario Bardhoku and he

was fine with the parameters of this project. We thank Mario for taking the time to let us analyze

his business from an operations perspective and see how he operates his business at such a high

standard.

Introduction-

Purpose of the report (Wendy)

The purpose of this report is to analyze the operations management processes of Apex

Landscape & Design LLC, a landscaping and design company based in the United States. By

analyzing the operations management processes of the company, we can identify areas for

improvement and recommend strategies for increased efficiency, cost savings, and customer

satisfaction.

Operations management is the management of business processes and activities to ensure

that products and services are delivered efficiently and effectively. It is the process of planning,

organizing, and controlling the operations of an organization. In the context of Apex Landscape

& Design LLC, operations management involves managing the processes of designing and

building outdoor spaces, such as gardens, patios, decks, and walkways (Apex Landscape &

Design, 2019). The goal of operations management is to ensure that the company is operating as

efficiently and cost-effectively as possible while delivering high-quality services to its

customers.

Industry Analysis

Landscaping industry employs more than 1.2 million people, with a growth of around 5.3

percent each year.

Company Analysis

Apex is a family owned and operated business that looks to provide customers assistance

with any landscaping needs to ensure their home looks just as good on the outside as the inside.

Operations Analysis

Apex Landscape and Design LLC perform many operations to meet customers'

landscaping needs. Apex operations include yard cleanup, pruning, weed removal, re-edging,

re-planting, and lawn transformations.

Brief info about company visited (Jaheim)

Apex Landscape and Design has only one location and usually at most ten people

working with two operating trucks. They have 12 lawn mowers with a variety of sizes since that

is the most common work the company does.

Company Background- (Thomas)

Apex Landscaping and Design LLC is managed by Mario Bardhoku in New Providence,

NJ. Mario has been operating this business for five years as of now and plans to continue to grow

the business. This landscape business has four trucks and two trailers both fully equipped for

lawn care and maintenance. However Mario offers snowplowing, fencing installment, seeding,

shrub removal, and plenty more.
