Cienfuegos , capital of Cienfuegos is a city on the souther cost of cuba , is located to 4.5 hours drive from Havana. The city is dubbed ¨La perla del Sur ¨( Pearl of the South) because of the impressive beauty of it´s bay.

It is a seductive city wich provokes the wonder of all who know it.The foundation of Cienfuegos occurred in 1819, when French colonist settled in it calling it ¨Fernandina de Jagua¨ in 2005 Unesco inscribed the urban historic centre of Cienfuegos in the World Heritage list , citing Cienfuegos as the best extract example of early 19 th century.

Geographically the city split in to two distinct part : The down town and the Punta Gorda Zone a thin knife of land slicing in to the bay .The down town area is surrounding for buildings from the end of the XIX century and the first half of the XX. There is no other place in the Caribbean with contain such a remarkable cluster of neoclassical structure.The city has the longest street lined with trees in Cuba called Paseo del Prado and leads the traveler to the Cienfuegarian malecon.
