An Exciting Announcement from Northcentral University

We are pleased to announce that the Northcentral University Board of Trustees has voted

unanimously for NCU to be acquired by National University System. Northcentral

University is expected to join the National University System as its fourth university

affiliate. The proposed transaction is subject to typical and customary regulatory and

accrediting reviews and approvals, which should be complete by the end of 2018.

La Jolla, CA-based National University System (NUS) is a nonprofit that aims to connect

diverse populations of students to a network of innovative educational programs that are

relevant to their lives, careers and the marketplace, delivered in a format that respects

competing life priorities. The System is comprised of several accredited affiliate

educational institutions including National University, John F. Kennedy University, City

University of Seattle, National University Virtual High School and National University

Academy.

While this is exciting news for us as an organization, it is important for you to know that, as

a student, this will not impact your degree or day-to-day experience with NCU. Once this

transaction is complete, Northcentral University will continue to operate under its current

name.

One of the most exciting aspects of becoming part of the National University System is we

intend to convert NCU into a nonprofit institution at the close of the transaction. We

believe that this status will be fantastic for our students. Because while little will change

about the NCU experience – tuition, degree programs, faculty and staff, and the name of

the institution on the diplomas – there are services and profit reinvestment opportunities

this new status can afford to the Northcentral community.

We know that you will have questions, and you are encouraged to speak with your

Academic and Finance Advisor for additional information. While there are many details still

being worked out, we are committed to transparency throughout this process.
