This a great start! I think what you’re missing is the achievable part. Every goal comes with a built-in plan. I would suggest revising to include that section; for example:

My goal is to earn at least an A- in each of my classes for the next year. I will reach this goal by creating a weekly schedule that include studying time of at least 2 hours each day and time for self-care to maintain balance. Comment by Timoll-Mueller, Sherrie: This is just a suggestion. You are free to edit to make it suit you.

Measurable: Comment by Timoll-Mueller, Sherrie: You don’t need to explain why your goal is SMART, but I incorporated the details under achievable in your goal.

· I ask my instructor for advice on how I can earn an A- or a higher grade in each course

· I will note down their advice and feed back , and start taking steps to do better in my studies

Achievable:

· I’ll allocate enough time each week to study each course

· I’ll will create a weekly time schedule for term time

· This schedule will detail my class times work times, self study times brakes and self care times

Relevant:

· I really want to reach my full potential as a student getting good grades is a top priority for me

Time:

· By next major exams I’ll be scoring more A-or higher grades in my course

In a years time, as a smart college student , I will have my A- or better grades in my results
