PLAGIARISM FREE "A" WORK Anatomy and Physiology
PLEASE UPLOAD EACH ASSIGNMENT SEPARATELY!!!! Assignment 1 Neurological Deficit Pick an area of the brain to focus on for your discussion; you may pick anywhere in the cerebral cortex, diencephalon, cerebellum, or brain stem.
1) Answer the following questions; you may complete additional research as needed:
a) Describe the area you selected, where it is located, and the area's function. Be specific.
b) If damage to this area occurred, what would the symptoms be, or what would the patient experience based on the structure's function?
c) What activities of daily living, ADLs, would you assume as affected? Explain your reasoning.
Please be sure to validate your opinions and ideas with citations and references in APA format.
The special senses help us communicate with our environment. A special sense is one that has a specific organ associated with it, like the nose, tongue, ear, and eye. The special senses consist of smell, taste, hearing, balance, and vision.
Assignment 2 Special Senses
1) Based on what your last name starts with, use the key listed below to identify what your assigned special sense is for this discussion: a) Last name starts with A-I = Hearing b) Last name starts with J-R = Smell c) Last name starts with S-Z = Vision
2) Based on your assigned special sense, answer the following questions: a) Briefly describe the anatomy and physiology of your assigned special sense. b) Imagine you are without your special sense. Create and briefly describe an
emergency, like a fire, and answer the following questions based on your emergency. i) Explain how your special sense loss would give you an advantage over the
other groups' lost special sense in the emergency you have created. Explain the reasoning behind your advantages.
ii) In this same scenario, how would your special sense loss put you at a disadvantage compared to the other groups? Explain your reasoning.
iii) Explain how you would adapt to the emergency using the remainder of your intact senses. Be specific.
Please be sure to validate your opinions and ideas with citations and references in APA format.

Assignment 3 Endocrine Disrupters
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences defines endocrine disruptors as chemicals that can interfere or affect the functioning of the hormones within the endocrine system. These chemicals can thus disrupt the normal functioning of reproduction, growth, and development of body tissues as well as cause other health problems.
1) For this discussion, pick an endocrine disruptor as the focus of your discussion. Try to pick one that is unique from your peers.
2) Discuss where this endocrine disruptor is found and explain how the human body is exposed to this type of disruptor.
3) Explain the impact of this endocrine disruptor on the endocrine system, including the hormone and gland involved. a) Compare this to the normal functioning of the hormone and gland.
4) Discuss the short term versus the long-term exposure to this type of disruptor on the body and any health consequences that can result from it.
5) Please be sure to validate your opinions and ideas with citations and references in APA format.
Assignment 4 Reflection
Please answer the following questions with supporting examples and explanations.
For each of the following learning objectives, provide an analysis of how the course supported each objective. Give an example for each.
1. Use anatomical terminology to identify and describe locations of major organs of each system covered.
2. Interpret physiological processes for select body systems. 3. Examine both the anatomical and chemical systemic regulation of
physiological processes. 4. Distinguish the roles of multiple systems in the maintenance of
homeostasis. 5. Describe the interrelationships that exist among the systems. 6. Utilize laboratory equipment and technology appropriately.
a) Explain how the material learned in this course, based upon the objectives, will be applicable to your professional application.
(Course Objective)
The first anatomy and physiology course in a two-term sequence will provide students with information and practical experience regarding anatomical and physiological concepts related to the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems, as well as, special senses. Biochemistry, cellular biology, and histology are integrated into each body system. Emphasis is

on interrelationships among systems and regulation of physiological functions involved in maintaining homeostasis. Use anatomical terminology to identify and describe the locations of major organs of each system covered. Interpret physiological processes for select body systems. Examine both the anatomical and chemical systemic regulation of physiological processes. Distinguish the roles of multiple systems in the maintenance of homeostasis. Describe the interrelationships that exist among the systems. Utilize laboratory equipment and technology appropriately.
b) What topics in this course did you find most interesting and applicable? c) Any thoughts on your learning in this course?
