This research is about American education. In the basically, the education is very important to every country, because this is related to the economic, thought and culture. “The U.S. also has the second largest higher education system, and it is the top destination for globally mobile students.”(Loo) So, understanding the education system is also a way to know a country. We can learn what this country focuses on and how they become the biggest countries. As an exchange student in the U.S., I want to make a report based on the information I got.

During this time, I made many new friends from different countries, they have their own way to show themselves depending on the country they came from and the way they grew up. In the class, I could observe that most of Western classmates have their own ideas, when the theory is different from their own experience, they didn’t hesitate to speak their opinion by raising their hands or holding the seminars. Compared to Asian students, we won‘t interrupt the teacher’s class, but ask some questions after the class. In addition to this, Western students are most confident to show themselves, for example, when they report their work on the stage, they don’t worry their work is wrong or weird.

Loo Bryce said that “Elementary and secondary (K-12) education provided by school districts is virtually universal. All students are guaranteed a free public education through the 12th grade.” When each child has a basic education, the standard of living will naturally improve. Every resident has basically reading, speaking and socializing abilities are the most basic tools for obey the rules and policies.

According to my observation, some American students know how to use the resources at hand and the professional knowledge they have learned to make changes for themselves and society. Consequently, being a mobile international student is a way to find which education model is better for me and learning the advantages from the other countries’ students.
