Capstone Sponsor: Quantum Analytica Title: Branding and Data Messaging for Small Business

Description: This innovative start-up applies the latest developments in software engineering, AI, big data, and data science to optimize business practices and drive business outcomes. There is a considerable learning curve for data literacy in the small business environment. Small business owners are largely unaware of their data, and unsure of how to harness its power to affect their bottom line. This project will create a mission statement and branding strategy to translate analytics to small business marketing. The project will develop a story with data that empowers small business data literacy while using their data to drive sales and customer engagement. The project will also test the branding hypothesis with an A/B strategy.

Deliverable/Goal: The students will develop a mission statement, branding storyboard, and sample social media posts that explain the power of data in non- technical ways, while also demonstrating the ROI that data analytics and predictive marketing will result to the small business. Time permitting, the students may also be asked to present their work to potential clients, giving them direct sales and marketing experience with a contemporary data-driven pitch to real clients.
