Marketing Research Test 2 Review

Test #2 will be posted by THURSDAY 10/11 and will remain available online until THURSDAY 10/18 AT MIDNIGHT (Extended due to hurricane and most recent announcement). Once you start the test, you will only have 120 (TWO HOURS!) minutes to complete the test.

Test 2 covers Chapters 7, 8, and, 10 in your textbook, plus additional XL Data analyst work. The last question will require you to UPLOAD an .xlsm file to the test, so make sure you are taking the test on a computer that can open macro-enabled files! It is possible that MAC computers are not able to open the .xlsm file! Please check before taking the test! (60 POINTS) There are 30 multiple choice questions on the test from the chapters. Some notes about questions in this section:

My multiple-choice questions are normally more application-type questions, rather than definition-type questions. So I won’t just say identify the correct meaning of a research objective from the following list; instead, I would say identify the best (or worst) research objective from the following list. You will still see some definition type questions, but those are usually terms that are in the book, that I may not have had time to emphasize in the audio lectures. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE BOOK CHAPTERS BEFORE STARTING THE TEST: there are questions on the test from the book only!

(15 POINTS) You will have to critique/evaluate questions on a survey. You will tell me what is WRONG with the questions (hint: most of them have at least one noticeable problem). You will then have to REWRITE the question and answer options to IMPROVE the survey item. (25 POINTS) You will have to convert a table of data into an XL Data Analyst .xlsm file. This will take the longest on the test so prepare your time accordingly. You will have to UPLOAD your .xlsm file directly into the test. Make sure you have all of your notes and your book accessible during the test and that you are connected to a reliable internet source (I recommend using an ethernet/wired connection to the internet, rather than wifi, if possible.) ALSO MAKE SURE YOU CAN OPEN A .XLSM FILE ON THE COMPUTER YOU ARE TAKING THE TEST. If you have any problems, DON'T PANIC.
