Complete Task 2 Assignment:

· Create a concepts map of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells indicating cellular structures

  

· What is the “cell theory”? Develop a timeline regarding the cell theory beginning with the development of a microscope and ending with Virchow. Include the contributions of Leeuwenhoek, Hooke, Schleiden, and Schwann.

Based on what you now know about genetics, make a genetic tree of your family as far back as you can. Bring the map to the lesson where you will use it. Here is a  blank tree  and key. Once you have filled it in using the key, save it, and share it. This will allow you to email the tree to yourself.

· Create a concept map indicating the events that led Charles Darwin to his theory of evolution by natural selection.  

· To your knowledge in evolution and evolutionary concepts, how can you explain the large eyes of an owl?

Task 5

· according to fossils of sedimentary rocks, Oxygen did not exist in Earth’s atmosphere until plant-like one – celled organisms appeared. What were these organisms? Describe briefly the processes by which these organisms helped in creating an oxygen atmosphere.  

· Create a concept classifying plants based on either their seeds’ types or leaves’ types and indicating the structures of each type.
