Project Assignment EAA Proposal and Discussions
THIS IS SEPARATED BY COLORS AND WOULD BE A STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS
The yellow highlighted parts are together for module 2 (payment together), the blue highlighted parts are for module 3 (payment together), the green highlighted part is for module.4 (payment together), and lastly the grey is for module 5 (payment together) each module has a separate payment but this project (with discussions) is tied together because I need to post my outlines, rough drafts, for discussions for peer reviews and submit them for some modules and that is why everything is posted as a reference so you know what would come next and expect.. etc
M2 Discussion 1: EAA Peer Discussion: Activity Selection (Student-Led)
Overview
This discussion is the first step of the EAA project. Think about what activity you want to experience and research for the semester. You will talk with your peers about your ideas for an activity as well as help them narrow down their own selected activities.
Outcomes
Explain the gender spectrum and related components, including identity, stereotypes, roles, and sexual scripts. Describe the role of the brain, senses, hormones, and substances on sexual arousal and response. Identify physiological and psychological stages of sexual arousal and response throughout the lifespan. Compare and contrast the styles of love, attachment, and communication in relationships. Identify the components of attraction. Explain the different forms of sexual behaviors and expressions, including intrapersonal and interpersonal sexual expression.
Instructions
For this discussion, you will explore different options for your activity. Post three options you are considering and why you selected them as possibilities. What are your concerns, if any? What are you excited about? Why do you think it is important to expand your experiences related to human sexuality and what do you expect to learn from it? How might this project impact your life and/or career goals? Your discussion post should be a minimum of 250 words. Your instructor will approve or not approve your selected options in their response to your post so you know which option you can move forward with. If you are feeling stuck on which experience and topic to choose, just remember – no personal expressions, it must be something you have never done, and it cannot be illegal or dangerous. Otherwise, be creative! Here is a list of ideas, but it is not exhaustive.
· Go to an adult boutique (such as Fascinations, Secrets, Awakenings (in Denver), etc.).
· Read a book related to sexuality that you are unfamiliar with.
· Enter a chat room related to a realm of sexuality that is new for you (kink, celibacy, etc.).
· Attend a live childbirth, if you know someone who is going to give birth and they will allow you to be in the room.
· Obtain a screening for STIs.
· Volunteer with a local outreach program for safer sex practices or sex education.
· Interview someone of a different sexual/relational orientation or identity/expression than you.
· Attend a LGBTQ event/club/rally/center, etc. (if open to the public).
· Attend a strip club, burlesque show, swingers club, or something similar.
· Attend an informational session on something in the “kink” community (BDSM, Furries, Polyamory, etc.).

Module 5: Project Assignment EAA Final Paper
Instructions
In this assignment, you will write a polished analysis of the biological, psychological, and social components of the topic from your experiential activity. You will use information and evidence from the prior steps, your actual experience of the topic, and the required six sources (three of which must be peer-reviewed journal articles) to complete the following:
1. A 6 page analysis paper of the activity, not including the title or references page. The EAA Final Paper should utilize relevant information and sources from the earlier steps, and be organized like your outline with use of the same headings (introduction, biological component, psychological component, social component, and conclusion). You will expand from the outlined ideas to a full and strong thesis, as well as fully developed topics within each component. Typically, each component will have 2-3 topics explored.
2. Your actual experience of the topic should be incorporated as appropriate for additional evidence, but do not use first person (I, me, my, etc.). Observations from the experience can be great evidence to add to the analysis of your activity. However, part of learning APA writing format is avoiding the use of first person and writing in a more formal, academic tone. This can be especially important when studying an often personal topic like sexuality. An example of the difference between informal first person and formal APA could be:
· The audience at the burlesque show was more than 50% female, which contradicts stereotypes of what gender(s) might want to see women perform the art of striptease. Versus
· I was surprised that the audience was more than 50% female at the burlesque show I went to.
3. An examination, explanation, and interpretation of the biological, psychological, and social aspects of your topic. Support these interpretations with evidence from your academic sources and experiential observations. Draw conclusions about your topic and support these conclusions with evidence from your academic sources. The conclusions you draw should demonstrate deep, critical analysis about the activity’s impact on the individual and/or society, and have evidence from your academic sources to support them. You may choose to write an argumentative, informative, or compare/contrast style paper. Most students choose either argumentative or informative for this assignment.
· Remember to incorporate specific examples from your experience. The examples from your experience should be appropriately connected to your academic research.
4. Include an accurate References page, formatted using 7th edition APA format, with at least the six required sources, three of which must be peer-reviewed journal articles.
You may not use first person (I, me, my) in this paper. Your analysis should use the 7th edition APA format and:
· Have a title and references page.
· Use correctly formatted in-text citations.
· Use 12-point font, Times New Roman, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins.
· Be spell-checked and proofread.
