By Day 3

Post 3–4 paragraphs that address the following:

· Choose one problematic communication behavior from the video.

· Explain how the communication behavior contributed to the conflict.

· Propose an interpersonal communication strategy to manage the conflict.

· Predict the outcome resulting from implementation of the interpersonal communication strategy.

By Day 5

Respond with 1–2 paragraphs responding to at least two peers that address the following:

· Role play as either Kathy or Alberto.

· Explain how the strategy would be effective in changing your interpersonal communication behavior.

· Support your explanation with references to credible resources.

To prepare for Stage 2 of the Course Project

· Select one interpersonal communication skill identified in Week 2 that you feel would be critical to teach to improve communication in the organizational scenario you selected.

· Research the Walden Library to gather at least 4–6 sources of evidence (at least one peer-reviewed article) to support the critical need of the skill in organizational settings and approaches to teaching the skill.

· Identify the key topics of each article.

To complete Stage 2 of the Course Project

By Day 5

Submit and post to the Discussion Board for peer critique, an annotated bibliography (4–6 sources) which addresses the following:

· Provide an introduction in which you identify appropriate uses of the skill and effective activities to train employees to use the skill.

· Provide a complete list of 4–6 source citations.

· Summarize the main topics of each cited source.

By Day 7

Respond to at least two peers’ posts and provide a critique to help your peers improve this stage of their Course Project including the following:

· Highlight one training resource that seems particularly effective. Explain why it was effective and how you feel it will be a benefit to the project.

· Suggest, if appropriate, one additional idea, concept, or perspective that would add to the effectiveness of your colleagues’ Course Project and provide a rationale for the suggestion.

Reflect and Submit a 1- to 2-page Journal entry which includes the following by providing a brief summary of your Week 3 reflections and a brief explanation of your plans for your upcoming work on the Course Project

· How can interpersonal communication skills help resolve conflict?

· How can interpersonal communication assist with gaining compliance?
