What is History

There are lots of things that are wrong about the history stories that are told because they are distorted, thus do not reflect all that happened in the past. The distortion is aimed at ensuring that the sensitive information about what a happened to a group is hidden. The other reason as to why the stories are twisted is to create heroes and leaving out the real heroes. An instance is that Columbus was considered as the one who discovered America yet there were people living in America before Columbus travelled to the nation. Also, there were explorers who had visited America before Columbus. Regardless of these people, Columbus became the hero who went to the United States to discover this country.

The interesting thing is that even though the truth that has been omitted by different history reading materials have been exposed, thus making history readers to realize that they have been lid to since the time when they started history. This is interesting because it has made it known that hiding the truth is difficult and thus it is important for all to keep telling the truth. History books therefore need to be rewritten to ensure that all the missing details in most of the reading books are included so that all the information regarding what happened in the past is captured. This is the only way of ensuring that the learners get all the details about the past without having any details missing since the books will contain all the information.
