Slave and Race

Realizing that the current insurance companies are the same ones that insured the slaves would bother me because it was not the ideal thing to do since human beings should be protected and not considered as properties. Properties are insured and by insuring a human being therefore indicates that the slaves were in the same category as properties of the masters. To the company it was concerned with making money without considering if insuring slaves was a good thing to do or not and thus the reason it bothers me. The other thing that bothers me is the way slaves were being transported because they were not treated like human beings but commodities. They were not given freedom to do anything while being transported and also the act of throwing them to the sea due to various reasons that made the masters want to get rid of them. It would have been better to let them go than being drowned.
