Imperialism and the US foreign policy

What do you notice? Any idea why we would want to control all of those islands out there in the Pacific Ocean? Any idea when the Panama Canal was built? Think it had anything to do with this?

With the western expansion, I noticed that it led to a series of debate that gave in the modality of the slavery in the west which increased the tensions in the south and the north and thereby leading to the introduction of the civil war. The idea of emigrating an entire mass of people was just one radical idea. This argument opposes extreme strategies, such as buying all the borders of the Pacific. The invasion provided basis for a planned ally with the United States to ensure the Japan’s Island was within the range of bombing the Japanese forces. Japan has similar ideas, so it has improved the concept of war. Through technological prowess, the Panama Canal was built on 1881 and finished in 1914. This was a sign of irritation between the Panamian-US relations at that particular time.

What other thoughts do you have concerning this war from your reading, Zinn's graphic novel on American Empire, and all the far-reaching implications for us today? How does this war lead the world into World War I?

The growth of the American empire was affected by the attitude the people in the United States had on the western expansion. The concept drove the idea of the US promoting the order of not falling behind the European powers. The Cuban government in this case gave the United States the perfect opportunity to gain the world and islands became a divided territory of the United States. Therefore, the expansion of the West is called imperialism. The general idea caused World War I since countries like France, Britain expanded their empires and thereby resulting into tensions between countries in Europe. The idea of imperialism is of great significance in reforming the European Union. Therefore, it played a huge role in the ever-expanding imperialist competition, and therefore, the progress of the First World War was slow.
