An online class has many advantages, like being able to peruse the internet for information & learning resources.  In addition to the class lectures & material, there are many other resources that could be helpful when trying to understand new concepts. Even though you probably covered all of this govt. stuff in high school, some of us need a refresher about government and policy, so... Original Post - Due by Monday, February 11 @ midnight.  For this discussion board, please make one original post of an online resource that will help you & others in the class learn the material.  It doesn't matter if the material is geared for K-12, higher ed, etc.  Just as long as it is helpful (and easy to understand). Videos, govt. simulator games, tutorials, etc.

Reply - Check out at least two suggested sites by your peers & comment on them by Wednesday night, Feb. 13'th @ midnight.  Check out their recommended sites & let them know how they helped (or didn't help) you.  (Again, the mid-week due date ensures that recommended sites will be available for your peers with enough time to be helpful.)

I totally remember the “School House Rock!” I always looked forward to seeing it. I chose this article because it breaks the Constitution and Bill of Rights down in simplified terminology. It was written for teenagers, which is when we were supposed to really learn about our government. I wish I had access to the internet when I was a teen. I had outdated encyclopedias and books. (Showing my age! Ha Ha).

The video I chose was "The (public) Policy Making Process" by Remy Lemmens. It breaks each part of the policy making process down into understandable language, it shows the steps in order, it shows what is involved in each step, and also focuses on some key vocabulary words.
