AFCI101 Critical Inquiry Burgess CI Project Preparation - Problem Statement Before you can complete your Artifact Assignment, you must develop a Problem Statement as described in the journal assignment CI Project - Problem Statement, due April 11. We will discuss Problem Statements in class next week as part of a Problem Solving exercise. CI Project/Artifact Assignment - A Plan of Action For this assignment, you will develop a personal plan of action to address your problem statement. Start with something easy, like the cover page, which should be formatted something like this (the brackets are just place holders; replace them with your specific information):

Next, address each of the following points. Create at least one independent paragraph for each point. You can format with headings for clarity.
• How this problem relates to The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian • Why this problem is of interest to you (be specific) • Summary of the problem
- include at least 2-3 references (note: government websites with relevant statistics are acceptable references in this scenario, so are references you have used for other assignments up to this point)
- include why it is important to solve this problem • Plan of personal action to help solve the problem
- include at least 2-3 references (note: websites for support groups are acceptable in this scenario) - include at least one statement/concrete action you can/will take - specify how your plan of action addresses the problem
• Expectation of results Because you are required to do some research on the problem and the solution that you will pursue, you are required to present citations for your references, in MLA format. Appropriately attribute facts and quotes as they are used in the text of your Plan of Action. In addition, create a list of references on a separate page. Don’t forget to include The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian in your list. A draft of this assignment is due April 19. Bring a high-quality hard copy for peer review. The final copy is due April 26, submitted as the Project Artifact component of your CI Portfolio.
