If you are working in a small group (2-3 students), make sure the names of each group member are included on your memo. When answering the question for this case, remember to use the argument structure discussed in lecture, where you first state your position and then back it up with arguments that include qualitative or quantitative evidence obtained from the case. Case memo should be 1-2-pages long (single-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font).
Is USMCA good for the U.S.?
Important: In answering this question you need to (1) describe the effects of NAFTA on the US, Mexico and Canada, (2) determine if NAFTA was a success and why, (3) suggest whether USMCA addresses concerns that were present in NAFTA, (4) describe which stakeholders will be affected by USMSA and how. For this case, as long as you address these questions, you don’t have to follow the standard structure of the case studies we have been using in our class thus far. In other words, questions above should guide the structure of this case memo.
