The Adult Nutritional Assessment

Assignment Overview

The purpose of this assignment is to provide the student with the opportunity to conduct a complete nutritional assessment on an adult patient (age 18-64). This assignment constitutes 10% of the overall course grade.

Assignment Details:

Perform the following tasks:

1. Complete a nutitional assessment using the provided Nutrition Assessment Forms & Questionnaires on an adult.

2. Research the components of a nutritional assessment and what the difference is between a nutritional assessment and nutrition screening?

Write an APA formatted paper, no longer than 5 body pages. Paper is to be in APA format, no longer than 5 body pages (not including the title and reference pages). At least 3 references must be used that are professional, peer reviewed, scholarly articles.

The content of the paper should include the following:

1. Discuss your research findings from task #2 listed above.

2. Analyze your assessment findings and discuss your top priorty finding and why it is a

priority. Based on your top priority finding, what is your teaching plan? What will

you follow up on? Is there anything within the components of a nutritional assessment that

also needs to be done?
