To complete this assignment, utilize the resource documents to compose a rough draft of the proposal and press release. Submit both components as one document (.docx or .pdf). While this does not need to be a complete and polished draft, it should represent a significant attempt to compose, sketch, or plan the various sections of the document.

Lesson 14 - Assignment: Presentation Rough Draft

To complete this assignment, attach your presentation rough draft in an appropriate file format. If you used Google Slides, download the presentation as a .pptx or .pdf file. If you used Prezi, provide the publicly accessible viewing link.

Lesson 14 - Discussion Board: Final Project Progress Report

For this discussion board, share your rough draft progress with peers.

 

Write a post that:

· Identifies the challenges you encountered while composing your rough draft

· Identifies what you believe are the most successful components of your rough draft

Write a response to two other classmates’ posts that:

· Shares an insight you gained from their post

· Provides encouragement, ideas, or advice for their project

 

Lesson 15 - Assignment: Final Project Peer Review

To complete this assignment:

· Create a new thread and upload the rough draft of your proposal and press release as one file. You should use the file attachment feature and submit the draft as a .docx or .pdf file.

· Identify your group members using the peer review group document.

· Find your group members' threads on the discussion board and open their documents.

· Read their drafts and complete the peer review questions listed below

· Respond to each peer's rough draft with your responses to the questions.

Questions for the proposal:

1. What is the main idea of the proposal? Did the writer address the proposal to an appropriate audience who is capable of acting on this issue? If not, suggest new potential audiences.

2. What reasons does the writer give to explain the problem? Is it clear to you, based on the evidence they provide, that a problem actually exists? What kind of data/evidence do they provide?

3. Does the objectives section address each reason/problem discussed in the previous section? Does the writer provide a logical case for why their proposed idea will solve this issue?

4. What threats/weaknesses does the writer identify? Are they able to reasonably respond to these? What additional objections might the audience raise that they did not anticipate?

5. Do a brief CRAP analysis of this document. How can the writer improve the design and layout of this document?

Questions for the press release:

1. What is the action-oriented headline for the press release? If it does not have one, suggest one.

2. How does the audience for this document differ from the proposal? 

3. Does the writer use third person to describe the project (does not use "I," "we", or "our")?

4. What adjustments, if any, does the writer need to make to the formatting of the press release?
